Stormwater Garden
This apartment complex showcases a series of raised planters filled with vibrant, lush shade plants that create a rich, tropical jungle aesthetic. These plantings are not only visually striking—they’re also part of a stormwater management strategy. Designed as raised Low Impact Development (LID) planters, they serve a dual purpose: capturing and filtering stormwater runoff from the roof, then slowly releasing it offsite. The result is a beautiful and sustainable landscape that blends ecological function with bold, immersive design.

LID & Permavoid System
This multifamily apartment project integrated a Permavoid stormwater attenuation system beneath the landscape to meet California Low Impact Development (LID) requirements. We created a welcoming entry that combines custom hardscape, drought-tolerant planting, and water-efficient irrigation. The underground system captures and temporarily stores stormwater before releasing it at a controlled rate, helping reduce runoff while maximizing usable outdoor space. This project demonstrates how engineered stormwater infrastructure and landscape design can work together to create functional, sustainable, and visually impactful environments.

Repurposed Concrete
This project transformed demolition waste into a functional and visually striking landscape feature. Instead of hauling away broken concrete from the site, we repurposed it to construct a stacked retaining wall for the landscape mounds, eliminating the need for new materials. Leftover washed gravel and decomposed granite were then used to complete the installation, creating a cohesive and natural aesthetic. By reusing materials already available on-site, the project reduced waste while staying within budget. It's a great example of how creative problem-solving can turn construction debris into a sustainable design element.
REDONDO BEACH
Community Design Project
The Salina turns a former Redondo Beach power plant into a vibrant park where nature and community meet. By reusing industrial structures and adding flowing, organic designs, the space feels both contemporary and lush. Winding trails, native gardens, and open areas invite everyone to explore, relax, and connect with nature. It’s a place where people, wildlife, and plants can thrive together, showing how thoughtful design can bring new life to old spaces.
