Rachel Roth
Owner & Designer
Rachel Roth is a professionally trained landscape designer with a degree in Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Her foundation in the field began early — gardening with her mother, learning construction alongside her father, and working at a local nursery. From there, she gained hands-on experience in landscape maintenance before moving into design roles at several respected landscape architecture firms.
She’s known for her ability to connect with clients and bring their ideas to life through clear, photorealistic renderings and layout plans. Her design process is collaborative and thoughtful — making sure every space reflects the client’s vision while staying rooted in sustainability and long-term function.
During her senior year, Rachel led The Salina, a community focused project with the late Mayor Bill Brand and Jim Light, who was then president of the South Bay parkland Conservancy and is now Mayor of Redondo Beach. The Salina is a senior capstone project that illustrates the transformation of a former power plant into a wetland park. This experienced deepened her passion for creating spaces where people and nature can thrive together, a philosophy that continues to guide her work at Rootlines Landscape.
